Space Shuttle Discovery Takes Off - Live View

by Randy on July 26, 2005 · Comments

Ok…see that little bitty itsy witsy teensy tiny speck of fast moving red in the picture? That would be the shuttle taking off today. I pulled over on I-4 with several people to watch the Space Shuttle Discovery launch. I know that you aren’t supposed to pull over on the interstate unless it is an emergency. But…it would totally not be cool to blog about seeing the shuttle without live pictures. Breaking the law to blog, hmmmmmm…

Maybe I need to check my priorities.

Back to the point, now…you have to take into account that I am about 50 miles from the launch. To even see it at all means it is amazingly humongogantic! I had my XM radio set to Fox News so I had all the audio to go along with it.

I got goosebumps.

Then I continued on to my destination… THE BEACH!

Not so much fun today. I got my car stuck in the soft sand, my drawing pad fell in the water and I was stung by a jelly fish all across my stomach.

I guess that would make me a jelly belly… HA! ::: roll eyes ::: I know that was a lame pun but couldn’t resist.

Oh vell…

I am not thinking to deeply yet. I am trying to zone out from the 8 million hour week of last week and not think much about the conference. Those updates will definitely be coming (with pictures) but I am trying to relax for now.

OK…I have some drawing to do.
