Fang Fund Auction

August 5, 2005 · Comments

Dear friends. I have posted on my personal blog about Kate's terrible accident and the subsequent monster need for dental work with a very high price tag (over $8,200). Due to a series of unfortunate situations, she had no insurance to help her. Folks…she lost all of her front teeth on top and bottom.

And the world ain't right with a fangless Venemous Kate!

Because Kate was one of the first people in the blogosphere I ran across and actually enjoyed reading I have to do something. Plus, she's smart, and funny, and nice, and sometimes makes the reader blush…she's cool and open with her life, I was moved to pray for and help her if I can. When I first started posting my artwork, Kate remarked on the work below. She said it was beautiful and that it was her favorite of the ones that I had posted online at the time. She doesn't know this but I was scared as heck to put my work online and her comment really blessed me. Her encouragement along with others have propelled me on this artistic journey.

As I prayed (meditated) on how to help Kate, I remembered that she liked this work so I thought I would donate it to raise money for her dental bill. It's a win all the way around. I get the blessing of being a part of blessing Kate, and the person that eventually buys the print will know that their money is helping Kate. Plus, the artwork itself has a story and history connected to Kate and the blogosphere.

Kate's worth it. If you would like to bid on this art work please visit the official auction at XRLQ's blog. DO NOT place bids here.

Thanks for posting it over at xrlq's site where I had the opportunity to become aware of it.

    Nice idea--very generous.

  • Thank you very much Paul. I appreciate you taking the time to come and visit and hope you come back often.

My only hope with this work is that it will bless the highest bidder and Kate very very much.
