I feel your pain… it took me almost $40 to fill up my car, and I thought I drove a fairly compact car.

Randy, my 2001 Ford Windstar (yeah, I’m a minivan mom) is running close to $70.00 to fill (per week). When I bought the car four years ago, I had budgeted $40.00 a week. Needless to say, I’m way over budget. Ouch! I can’t even sell the van because I have another year of payments. Ouch again! I’m already planning to buy a very fuel-efficient car in one year. It helps a little to know that other countries are paying much more, but that knowledge doesn’t pay the price at the pump.
