Tina Fey on Marriage

I hope this doesn't offend anyone.  I thought it was clever (not saying it is true, just clever.)  The following quote is a reminder on how social norms do tend to change.  It also hits two stereotypes at once:  myopic government committees and effeminate affectations being an indicator of homosexuality.  I got this quote from TIME Magazine dated June 5, 2006.

Tina Fey (SNL star) says:

A Senate committee approved a constituional amendment banning same-sex marriage–apparently forgetting that our forefathers wore wigs and satin capri pants.

Too bad there had to be the slight disclaimer. Whether or not you agree, it IS funny.
