WWIII

OK… so is anyone else beside me worried … just a little … over the turmoil going on in the world?  Look at what has happened since two days ago and headed into the weekend.

India attacked …

Israel Vs. Everybody around them (BIG escalation) …

Syria's name keeps showing up with the bloody fingerprints …

Iran's UN deadline passes …

North Korea (last week but still) shooting missles with Iranian officials present …

Oh yeah and the ongoing tensions in Afghanistan, Iraq and the Congo (I didn't forget Kurt)?

G8 summit coming up …

Who have I missed?

Some people are saying that all of these things are not seperate issues but like World War II, various militant factions are using this opportunity in space and time to act up all at once.  Gary Bauer in his email today reminded his audience that the Japanese certainly didn't agree with Hitler's supreme race but still allied themselves with him during WWII to take the opportunity to wage war for their own goals.

I have heard it said that WWIII started on 9/11 and been reluctant to agree.  I have always thought there was some merit to that parallel but I secretly hoped that the terrorists would never ascend to the power they apparently have gotten too.  It's horrible to think of thousands of innocents dying in random terrorist attacks but in World Wars … we are talking MILLIONS of mobilized infantry not to mention the innocents in the way.

Lord please stop the escalation and stop the murderous Islamofascist maniacs.

Today I think it is obvious that this IS WWIII.

Is it?  Agree or disagree?

*** Update 8:35 pm EDT *** All Things Beautiful has an amazing post with lots and lots of links and news about the escalating problems.

*** Update 10:29 pm EDT *** Israel took out the road to Damascus which pretty much means that Lebanon is effectively isolated from the rest of the world.  It is also reported that another missle hit Haifa (two total.)

Normally I love Fox News but the title and opening analogy used in this story, "Iranian President's Got Game. But Which Game?" is absolutely stunningly sappy.  Then the story itself goes on to talk about how the Iranian President maybe isn't evil … just stupid.  What good is comparing what this mad man is doing to his former soccer glory?  Why would this reporter (John Moody) make such a far reach to open a story when the story itself is of world shifting magnitude?  I don't get it.

Iran's President is not some silly naive puppeteer, he is an insane Islamofascist who funds terrorist murderers with a nation's resources at his disposal.  Hearing about his soccer tactics isn't on my list of "must know" facts concerning him.

Anyway, the other articles on the Fox News site I found to be very helpful.  I am sure Mr. Moody is a great reporter, I just can't get into this article.

Jack, how do you know that about Kim Jong Be illin’s porn stash? Is that in the news?
I totally agree about the West needing to be united but we are SO mired down in moral relativism and liberalism nobody seems to have the guts to make a definitive stand against obvious evil.

Canada’s new Prime Minister is a Christian. He attends my church when in Calgary (he’s my member of parliament). Perhaps we will see some more Canadian involvement in the war on terror. I don’t know. Canadian politicians are great at sitting on the fence. We’ll see how his convictions play out in parliament.

Our former Prime Minister, the late Sir Robert Muldoon, warned New Zealand of an Indonesian invasion come 2020. The guy was right on a lot of stuff—unemployment, high fuel prices—and we ignored him those last few times. That was in the 1970s and 1980s. Let’s hope we don’t ignore him now and prepare ourselves.

Thanks MLAH. I hate to say that I think your analysis may be correct. I will pray that your predictions will not be :) .

the war has been raging since at least 9-11. look for more bad guys to make a little noise. my money is on hugo chavez to soon restart his whining about the dutch possessions off of his coast. watch for trouble in the phillipines, maybe indonesia, maybe eurabia itself.
