Rainy Saturday and Home Stuff

I haven’t been home on the weekend since I moved into my new home.  I do have to leave again tomorrow after church but it has been great to have Friday night and Saturday here.

I slept in late.  My neighborhood is very quiet.  Then I went to Bed Bath and Beyond, Home Depot and Home Goods.  I have gotten a few housewarming presents and had gift cards to both BB&B and Home Goods stores.

Bed, Bath and Beyond apparently got worried about me.  A security guard came over to ask me how I was doing and I was perplexed.  I was about to get snippy but then I realized I had been in the store for two hours and the only thing in my cart was a shower curtain rod.

I never would have guessed that I am picky but ( that is a joke ) … I must be really picky when I put my mind to something.  Speaking of which, I kept changing my mind.  Even to the point that the shower curtain rod didn’t make the final cut.  But, I did end up buying some great bath linens and a different rod and hooks there.  Later Blaine came over.  He is painting the guest bathroom today. 

Thank God for people who think painting is "relaxing."  That’s just nutty to me.  Then again, I think blogging is relaxing and I am secure enough in my insanity to own my own craziness.

Later, before Blaine started painting, we went to Home Depot and got some supplies and then we went to Home Goods.  I have never been in there before.  I am not a genetically predisposed shopper.  Never really have been.  But, when it hits me … it hits me.  I am very glad I don’t have a credit card (debt free) because I could get in serious trouble in there.  I did use my gift card and got a really groovy lamp for the entryway.

Now, Blaine is painting and listening to the Georgia vs. Florida game, I am blogging and it is raining outside.

It’s a good day to be home.
