Thanksgiving Eve - “Surprise Me” list

Tomorrow we can have serious Thanksiving thankfulness thanks stuff. Today, welcome to the first annual Thanksgiving Eve - Surprise Me gratitude list.

Every year on Thanksgiving Eve I am going to comb through the dark and peculiar crannies of my brain (small as it is… there are lots of dark peculiar crannies) and find ten things I am grateful for that are not on the typical list I would come up with. Everyone always does the easy gratitude list like God, Family, Friends, Country … come on people…that’s tomorrow. Today lets do some not so obvious things (make it fun.)

I hope you will join in. It has to be ten if you want to be “da’ bomb diggity’, seven if you want to be a “playa’” and five … “wannabee” … I am grateful for …

  1. chlorine…wouldn’t swim without it. Did you know that brain colonizing Amoebas love Florida? It’s true.
  2. Stuffed Armadillos - I like Milo…he’s a spy.Milo the Armadillo … He’s a Spy
  3. vampires are not real, because if they were … it would be really bad … and probably gross. Don’t you watch Anime?
  4. Red brick houses. They are just cool.
  5. A dust free coffee table - just kidding, like I care. I do … but not really. So ambivalent.
  6. ::: getting back from dusting my coffee table ::: My inner geek doesn’t reign … well except for changing my blog theme like a new shirt every day and overwhelming my share time on the server CPU for my IP with tons and tons of fun plugins but like anything without moderation … it brings the whole thing crashing down. So I installed WP-Cache and uninstalled the plugin that makes you glow when you type. That saved the server and kept my blog alive. … What?
  7. The only thing I have killed in the past year is a plant. And all the chickens, cows, squids ( hello… calamari? It’s fried so it’s ok) and fish I ate … and the trees I used for paper, many bugs of the flying, biting and crawling sort….where am I going with this? Do vegetables count?
  8. using the expression DRAT! at least four times.
  9. Commercial free XM radio. The top three non-spiritual things that have changed my life: XM radio, Polarized Sunglasses and TiVo.
  10. GMail filters. You can set them up to archive your favorite stalkers emails for the police (if needed) and never even see them in your inbox! Awesome feature. Am I kidding? hmmmmm…

I told you peculiar and somewhat dark. What’s your “Surprise Me” Gratitude list? Please leave your “surprise me gratitude list” in the comments or trackback from your own blog.
