Republican CNN/YouTube Debate

I am watching it and it is only in the first few minutes but I LOVE that the average citizen video is being used. I didn’t watch the Democrat CNN/Youtube debate but now I wish I had.

I am not going to to do a detailed analysis of the debate but might add some thoughts later. Right now… Mitt and Rudy are really tearing into each other…. it’s BAD already. I hate politics… but can’t seem to turn the channel.

Update 8:44 PM EST: WOW these guys are going after each other big time. Some of my Twitter friends are going NUTS with debate updates.

Update 10:07 PM EST: Tancredo who?  Duncan Hunter … rarely heard. Fred, John and Rudy did … eh… ok.  Mitt really screwed up and Ron Paul really ticked me off.  I think Huckabee won.

Hi, Tom. Thanks for the links.

Do you really think that CNN would ask a question basically along the lines of “Giuliani, why are you lying ?” And then do you think Giuliani is actually going to answer, “Well I am lying because …?”

Attacks ending with question marks distract from the merit of the question (if there is any.)

I think you have a point on the CNN attitude toward choosing videos and the apparent disdain the one man had toward contributers. At the same time, I think they have a right to filter the videos in *some* sort of fashion. If they use the site you mentioned, 10 Questions, then it would be releasing control to another entity and it would be the CNN/YouTube/10 Questions debate. Not everyone will know or trust 10 questions either. I don’t know anything about them. I am not saying everyone trusts CNN and YouTube either but their biases are known and a little obvious.

Anyway, I think the issues in the video could have been addressed better. Whoever made the videos did a great job technically.

Well there ya’ go. Thanks for your comment.
