Just one word about the following linked video … wow.

I mean really … wow.

I don’t understand all the acronyms he says but I dare someone to count the number of times he says help. I triple double dog dare you. The video is long but I couldn’t stop watching because it so bizarre. I will pray for him to find Christ because it sounds like whatever he believes doesn’t have much grace.

Randy,
I watched this whole video and I am baffled by the divisive language used. “you are either in or out” or “Get those spectators in the center or out of the arena”. Why do are religions so divisive?

I can honestly say I do not understand where he is coming from or what all those PSDF or DTTFRE mean, but it seems to work for him. I disagree with you that he doesn’t have much grace, whatever that means. It sounds like he has lots of faith that what he believes is right. Much like I have read from you and your faith. Should we not show that belief respect in the same way we demand it for ourselves?

I think your take is pretty judgmental of Tom. Just because you disagree on your spirituality doesn’t mean he lacks grace or that it will fail at some point. He only lacks what you call grace, but he seems rich in what he calls grace. The same could be said of you and me.

I don’t think “whatever he believes” will fail just because I disagree or you disagree. It isn’t about us, it is about Tom. I think it works to fill his needs whatever those may be in the same way Christianity works to fill your needs whatever they may be and in the same way ….and so on and so on…..

There is an old Buddhist saying that seems to apply here: “Think you are right, check again”….we always believe we are right. That is why Tom seems secure in his beliefs the same way you seem secure in yours.

You know Joe. I get it…. you don’t like me and feel a need to correct me. Even so …

Tom appears to be all about “you are either in or out.” No middle ground.

I don’t judge Tom’s heart or soul, but his words and actions are not very gracious in my estimation. According to what I heard, he helps because he has too… he is the only one who can. I sense the pride of self-sufficiency in him. We all struggle with that to some degree and it is antithetical to depending on God’s grace and mercy. And no matter who you are, any belief that does not depend on Christ’s grace and mercy (i.e. salvation) will ultimately fail.

It’s not about us or Tom, It’s about God and His Will.

That’s basic Christianity 101

Joe… you are very good at judging others judgments. You also appear to be tossed about in an ocean of subjectivity. Along with that though, there has to be some sort of rigid right and wrong because I keeping triggering your wrong buzzer.

Randy! I feel sad reading that because I have a need to be understood. I think that need may not have been met here.

No where in my post did I say anything about not liking you. If I didn’t like you, I wouldn’t keep reading your blog.

I also didn’t judge anyone, I gave opinions on their beliefs and actions. I think that is much different, but I understand you may feel differently. I never said you were judgemental but that is what you seem to have heard. I said your take on this was. That means your post and words, not you. It means how this was read may not have been what was written, but how it was recieved.

I also seem to read into your post that you would like me to understand you were not trying to be harsh and I didn’t think you were. Those are just your feelings and opinions of what I wrote.

Sadly Randy, I think if you got to know me better, You would find I like most people. I don’t always agree with people, but I am also don’t see the world in right and wrong or good and bad. I think those labels disconnect us from others rather than bring us closer to meeting our needs in the world. I would like to see people connected together rather than the state the world is currently in.
