Moving Chaos

My family and I are moving. Our new house will be ready to move into on Wednesday and we need to be out of our rental Friday. We have been gradually boxing stuff, throwing stuff away, and selling stuff for a few months now. Now it all comes to a head.
We have junk everywhere, boxes everywhere and nothing where it is supposed to be. It’s chaos!
The funny thing is, now that we don’t have the time luxury of determining what I should do with this piece of paper, this book, or this nick-nack that is nice but not necessary, is that everything should just go in a box and moved to the new house. So we are moving chaos from one house to another.
That is not what I wanted. I wanted to go through every file, every shirt, and every book to contemplate a thoughtful disposition for all this superfluous stuff. I wanted to start fresh, start organized and start smart. I wanted to delete all those metaphorical emails that clog up the in-box of my real life and only keep about fifteen at any one time.
Ha! Ain’t gonna happen.

I know the feeling man. But, with the way you edit I am surprised this doesn’t translate to your chaos :). Have fun moving ;).
