The Screaming Neenies Fear Palin Power

Palin.jpg

Definition of a Screaming Neenie: It’s what one of my baby-sitters used to call all her hyperactive pack of kids. She’d say, “Settle down! Your acting like a bunch of screaming neenies!”

… and on to the blog post.

This stuff is way out of hand. Regular conservative (and maybe even some liberal) readers, take a deep breath cause you might get a little miffed by the end of this. I try to mix in a little humor but … well, you will see.

Queerty quotes Margaret Cho saying that Sarah is the worst thing to happen since 9/11 … oh and that she’s evil. Newsbusters reports that along with the non-original, not funny rant and anti-Christian bigotry of Sandra Bernhardt she declares that Palin would be gang raped by a bunch of black men if she stepped foot in New York City. Why does sexism and racism come to mind? Hmmmmm…

Saturday Night Live thinks it’s funny to make jokes alleging incest in the Palin family. But not to be outdone, Randi Rhodes accuses Sarah herself of being the neighborhood ephebophile.

A State House Democrat from Tennessee’s son hacked into Governor Palin’s personal email…. I guess they just had to see that one email she sent asking her mother to water the plants near the backdoor of the kitchen while she was gone. Silly Mom Palin responded that she didn’t know where the water pail was. Of course the First Dude had to email her from Sarah’s account, because Sarah is too busy praying, that it wasn’t really a “pail” but they use the water jug on top of the refrigerator. He recommended that she let Dad Palin get out the footstool, the sturdy one from the garage not the metal one from the laundry room, to pull it down so she won’t hurt her back.

That’s total fiction but someone is being arrested by the FBI for hacking into an email account to learn similar information, I am sure.

Pat Oliphant makes Palin out to be such a hyperspiritual nut that even a fat overweight white god can’t understand her. He even has to use a land based phone to simply have a talk with her. Why does St. Peter look like a Keebler elf? I would think Oliphant’s god would at least have an iPhone.

Apparently Juan Cole believes the only difference between Palin and a Muslim fundamentalist is … you guessed it … lipstick. And here stupid me though it might have something to do with a completely different culture and a belief that Jesus is the Son of God. BUT, you know … who am I to say?

Andrew Sullivan is simply beside himself over the whole matter. Among a near obsession of hating her, he is just convinced she represents America’s lurch toward a theocracy. I would try to say something funny … but that’s just stupid. I always thought he was smart even when he was wrong. But, I guess smart people can say stupid things too. If there was going to be a theocracy…it would have happened loooooonnng ago, not today.

Roseanne Barr, always so very cheery, decides to call Palin’s daughter “slutty”. Matt Damon weighs in over whether Sarah’s alleged belief in a young earth disqualifies her from having nuclear codes. I guess he believes that if she believes in a young earth she would want it to come to a quick end … or something. Wendy Doniger doesn’t even believe Sarah is a woman.

::: roll eyes ::: As the youngin’s like to say nowadays, “Srsly?”

… but if the power of the Palin pick is so dire… why is Eleanor Clift and the media elite laughing all across the country at her nomination?

And a sidenote: a sure sign that the gaypocalypse has fallen upon thee O’ evil right wing dominated earth: McCain might have a “gay” Chief of Staff. (Signorile, A Gay Activist)

And there is SOOoooooOOOOOooooOOOOOoooooo …. soooOOOOOOOoooo much more. Did someone say something about the art of stigmatization?

And even with all of that, Sarah Palin pulled in a crowd of 60,000 this past weekend. She did it in The Villages Florida and not in some huge grandiose stadium spending millions of dollars on fireworks and styrofoam pillars.

Reasonable people don’t laugh at Hollywood and the media/activist elite on matters like this. They stand amazed at the hyper-hatred, do the best they can to make an informed decision and will vote their conscience. All of this, I have no doubt, is working toward McCain’s favor.

Last thought: when I was a liberal umpteen years ago, this behavior would not have been acceptable. We were rude and rowdy but … is it me or does it seem like this is a whole new level of hatred?
