My Brain & Your Comments - Housekeeping Thread

Right now I am waiting for my migraine medicine to kick in … again. I took some earlier, felt great but I think I sweated it out at the gym. So, please pray I don’t spiral down into the maelstrom of pain.
So, taking care of my head also requires that I not think too much :). Hence the reason for this post instead of deeply intellectual, refreshingly humorous and completely humble posts like I usually produce.
I am so humble … it really is just amazing.
I need your help in processing a potential change in the commenting system.
The link above will take you to an article that I would like your feedback on. Especially you regular commenters. Automattic is the company that owns WordPress. Wordpress is the software I use to run this blog. I use a service called Disqus for the commenting system right now.
Here is my thinking but I want your feedback before making a final decision. I was not really aware of Intense Debate’s commenting system until now. It seems like a really cool service with more features for *you* as a commenter and moi as a moderator. With Wordpress acquiring it… they will also have much more “clean” integration with my blog and will probably make the already sometimes buggy Disqus even more buggy. Intense Debate and Wordpress are now “hand in hand” and not third party like Disqus will always be.
I am not worried about losing any comments but I am concerned that the recent threaded comments (via Disqus) might not maintain that threaded structure in the Intense Debate scheme. In other words, the threaded comments in the Intense Debate “structure” will be fine but I don’t know of the disqus threads will import into that and still maintain their threaded-ness. 
Ok… I think I failed at trying to give my brain a break. Please let me know what you think. I am going to go lay down on the couch now.
