We Must Persevere! War Against Whining Call To Action – G Bombing to Ensue!

October 1, 2008 · 29 comments

With all this political economic nyah nyah lately … do you feel like this little fella'?

cat
more animals

You know that cat is going to be neurotic by the time it is all over.

SO, let's combat the wall of sound … the whining war. Let's do so with the g-bombs (gratitude bombs) of joy joy. My list after the jump.

G-Bombs Commence Dropping!

I am so grateful for air conditioning and Sprite Zero (mmmm….)
I am grateful for being 20 pounds lighter since six weeks ago!
I love stupid … seriously … stupid '80's music
My favorite color is all of them … except for pea green … most of the time.
My favorite blog commenter is you ::: awww ::: so leave one or something.
I love that I have great friends all over the country and world :)
am very excited to get to go to Colorado at the end of October.
I have the coolest lamps for the credenza behind my desk.
My co-workers rock.
Peace lillies are awesome because they let you know when they need water (I tend to kill most other plants … except desert dwelling plants.)
I am grateful for blogging.
I never had the fashion gene and I could care less about Project Runway. What's so "fierce" about it? … For some reason that lack of interest makes me quite happy. … but … don't tell anyone … I really enjoy the Colbert Report.
Fall is my favorite season.
And I have really enjoyed reconnecting with some of my High School classmates lately.
And of course my favorite thing to be grateful for is that I love God because He first loved me.

::: Grin :::

… your turn. Name at least five things you are grateful for in the comments or on your own blog. As you can tell it doesn't have to be serious. If you leave it on your blog please leave a link to the post here in the comments (trackbacks don't show up on Disqus for some reason.)

One day … yes Comrades! One day we will defeat whining!

*in a sing-song voice- I got the joy joy joy ….*

1. A God who faithfully pursues my heart, and did so much to restore my relationship with him.
2. Wonderful godly men who've helped me along this journey.
3. My biological family, who lovingly supported me even as I adopted myself into another family to get the things they couldn't provide.
4. Friends, both those who know and those who don't, who God has allowed to shape my life, and teach me so much about his character, and how to shine his love to the world around me.
5. The fact that God always knows what he's doing, and isn't taken by surprise by things we consider crises.

I'm grateful that I'm not in charge or control and that HE IS! He is faithrul, true, merciful, the beginning and the end . . . I could go on and on about Who He is, and He loves ME! Yay God!

My list of 5 would be:

I'm grateful for friends who put up with me all the time.
For BBC Comedy Shows
For my parents
For soap
That God's love is unconditional in spite of my constant wavering. :)

Faithful friends (ones I've met face-to face and those I know only in cyberspace); hubby and son; mountains; pets; wildlife (very entertaining for me every day); my life . . . oh, and live music and books. Wait, don't get me started! I'll stop now for your sake!

Oh yes, me, too! Soap; indoor-plumbing; air-conditioning and heating; grocery stores (oooh, gardening is so not my thing . . . or canning!); Monty Python's Flying Circus; George and Gracie (love that show!); for fall weather, knowing winter is coming; for the freedom to read and share the Bible; for freedom … true libertyl; for friends who love me enough to tell me hard truths about myself even when they know I won't like it; truly, I am blessed in so many ways and today I'm thankful for each and every way . . . facing diabolical stuff here at the office and praying my way through … remembering His mercy and goodness and thanking Him for it all. He is able.
