As promised, rain or shine, whether McCain wins or whoever that other guy is does … we will be live blogging. Use the form to sign up for a reminder. You can also adjust the timing for when the reminder email is delivered. (More thoughts after the jump.)
The last time we live blogged it turned into a free for all chat room. I had several people complain that they couldn't keep up with everything and they wanted a true live blog and not a chat room.
So, with that said, I like the free flowing idea but let's try to slow down and be more substantive/thoughtful. Let's include links, articles, breaking news … stuff. Let's document the heck out of this historic evening!
Also, the night is going to bring about strong emotion and reaction on both sides for either outcome. Since I am "A Benevolent Tyrant in Training," I am going to ask that respect be given to opposing viewpoints and for you all to have a good dose of civility … and HUMOR … about it.
If you have to be mean … at least make it funny in a way that isn't at someone else's direct expense. If you are mean-spirited and denigrating to others participating in the LIVE BLOG … buh-bye. Pick on the candidates, pick on the issues but don't pick on each other. And since "Tyrant" is a part of my "Benevolent Tyrant" title … I reserve the right to boot any rabble rousers just lookin' to hijack the conversation.
