My thoughts after the jump …

Again, there is a legitimate issue to be made that the current gay culture war is not a continuation of the civil rights movement. To continue to frame it that way only inserts unnecessary vitriol, apparently fuels violence and incites thuggery. In this context, it could take away the possibility of finding a real solution. Of course Jasmyne's solution is probably very different than mine but I think it would be a much more civil process, to frame it correctly, no matter what the outcome.

Wow. I read about the Church in Michigan today. Yikes. How do these gay rights groups suppose they will gain sympathy for their cause through violence? Especially violence against non-violent people.
