Groovy screen capture off my iPhone huh?

Ok… ::: sheepish grin ::: There isn’t any sleet or snow here in Orlando. ::: goofy smile ::: and NOOooooo it isn’t even raining. ::: shuffling my feet ::: AnnndDDD … there isn’t a single cloud in the sky (at the moment.) BUT in my head I am imagining a blizzard to justify how unbelievably cold it is! They said we could have something called a “wind chill factor” in the 20’s tonight.

And would you just look at that picture again! We don’t come out of the deep arctic freeze until next week!

I hope we don’t die.

::: off to go figure out where the “heat” option is on my thermostat ::: I guess I just move the switch thing over :::

Can you tell I am in the same mood I was in last Tuesday?

Oh my, Randy! you should come out to California for the next week or so...it's been upper 80s and even 90 (on my back porch). I don't know what I would do if the temperature dropped all the way down to the 60s....I think I might die of exposure! I hope you have a parka and snow boots.

It's easy. Hold the home button and click the button at the top (that normals turns off the screen) at the same time. It is a timing thing ... so hit them at the same time.

I am SO glad you are still commenting on *my* blog. The others? It's ok if you let them slide. Just don't ever leave my blog :)

:::gasp::: Oh Randy what tragedy!!! You may have to purchase long woolly underwear just to survive! Or you could open all your windows, curl up in a thick blanket, light a fire in your fireplace, if you have one, and watch 'The Day After Tomorrow'. I always do that when it's -30C. Good times:)

Long woolly underwear sounds awful ... but if it helps me survive... ok.

I do have a fireplace actually. I've never used it but it's pretty. ... and there is NO way I am opening all the windows and do all that you said to do ... no thank you and your crazy negative Celsius talk.

Ear muffs and scarfs are helpful for those arctic blasts, too! Oh, and grow a beard. I'm thinking Disney must have some magical ear muffs around somewhere, eh?

No ear muffs. I want to die without ear muff hair ... and no beard. No thank you. I refuse to drive to Disney unless I am actually going to play in the parks. Which I won't be doing as long as it is freezing.

uh huh... keep talking. Let's see what you say when it's the middle of August at 95 degrees, 100% humidity and a storm with some outdated name coming to pay a visit.

By the way, can we stay away from the word "pansies?" It's one of those words I just don't really care for. I know you don't really mean it to be mean but ... it's just one of those words for me.

Don't get me wrong. I love warm weather. But it's been in the 30s all day today. There wasn't a cloud in the sky and everything was bathed in a very bright, almost merciless winter light. Everything seemed very clean and fresh, and it was so nice to see everyone walking around in their coats and scarfs and hats. I'm actually liking cold weather this year... just not the fact that I constantly have the sniffles.

Shhhhhh... don't tell anyone but ... I secretly like the cooler air. This is just my yearly opportunity to whine about having to deal with arctic blasts. For some reason I find it entertaining.

You would never survive north of Florida in Alabama! We had a high of 46 yesterday, low of 25 this morning, and a high of 51 today. Tonight, it's going down to 32, high of 57 tomorrow and down to 28 tomorrow night. Now, that is cold, when you have the wind we had yesterday. It might have been 46, but the windchill factor made it about 33 for the high!

BARB! ughhh... you poor thing! Is the Red Cross there? I think they should just build a 35,000 foot wall on the northern Floridian border and keep all the cold air up there. And then, in true Wile E. Coyote fashion we can flip a big red switch and the wall will retract into the ground once the cold blast has withered away.
