I heard about this on the way home and was deeply moved as the casualty count kept rising. Tonight at the gym I was on the elliptical when Congress stopped for a moment of silence. I stopped for the moment of silence with Congress too. I wished everyone else in the gym would have but … there ya’ go.
I listened to the Fox News interview with the killer’s cousin and he kept saying he wanted everyone watching to know that Major Malik Nadal Hasan (the murderer) was a good American. Granted, I can understand a cousin and loved one being concerned, defensive and shocked that someone they loved did this. But truth is truth, this man was not a good American, he murdered 11 and wounded 31 people. There is no reason that can justify this behavior and salvage Major Hasan’s reputation and legacy.
We need to pray for the cousin and for all the grieving families and for our military.

I was stunned when Great Scott told me about it, but the chills hit when I got on Facebook and realized one of my dearly loved students who graduated last year is now living in Ft. Hood. She’s ok, but they live near where the shooting took place, and it has her pretty shaken up.
I think this kind of thing comes nearer to happening more often than most people are aware, too.
How freakin’ crazy is it that today I can relate to your friend because of the downtown shootings in Orlando. I don’t know that I am really shaken up but the hair stood up on the back of my neck a couple of times when I found out a friend of a friend was in the building and they were locking down schools and businesses around there that I know real well.
What’s this world coming to Cindy?
As far as where this world is going, I’d say handbaskets are involved.
I was keeping an eye on the Orlando situation throughout the day and was vastly relieved to see that they finally were able to locate and take into custody the man who was responsible (or irresponsible, as the case may be). Very glad you’re safe, too. (Thank You, Abba!)

Glenn Beck said yelled once, “WE ARE GOING TO HELL IN A HANDBASKET! WITHOUT THE HANDBASKET!”
I can see that.
Even so, Abba is good.
