Well, most of this holiday has been vegging out at home. Last Thursday night was the big fireworks show about two miles away. I went and watched them from the porch of my “ultra liberal Bostonian” neighbors. I use quotes because that is how they describe themselves. Anyway more about that in a minute.
Friday, didn’t [...]

Anti Obama Propaganda
July 1st, 2008 · No Comments
A friend sent me the above artwork. While I love my friend and not sure why they sent it on, I don’t think it is funny. I don’t care for these four powerful symbols being combined in such a manner.
I don’t like Obama’s policies and think he would be a disaster for this country. His [...]

The Rush To Oppose Blog/Pundit Template
June 24th, 2008 · 5 Comments
Of course this is a dynamic template, always shifting just a little but the gist is the same over and over again …
***begin**
Can you believe so and so said blah blah blah? I mean seriously… they said blah blah blah! Like, who do they think they are saying blah blah blah? If they really meant [...]

Gay Rights At the Expense of Religious Liberty? Part II
June 11th, 2008 · 19 Comments
Seemingly, in Canada, not only can you be punished for speaking out about your religious convictions concerning sexuality, you can be banned from ever communicating about them ever again.
From the Exodus: Live Out Loud Blog:
“Mr. Boissoin and The Concerned Christian Coalition Inc. shall cease publishing in newspapers, by e-mail, on the radio, in public speeches, [...]

Marriage Amendments in FL and CA
June 3rd, 2008 · No Comments
A friend forwarded me the poll from Quinnipiac University. The poll itself asked a lot of questions about the state of Florida politics but this was the one concerning the Marriage Amendment.

ACLU Blog of Rights = Cheesy Mousepad
May 23rd, 2008 · 6 Comments
Is it me or is this … like … cheesy? I already view the ACLU as an opponent but “blog of rights?” I hate to say this but … I will. Their slogan is a lame opportunistic derivative of our hallowed Bill of Rights. And if you keep rebranding something so amazing as the Bill [...]

Ted Kennedy’s Tumor
May 20th, 2008 · 8 Comments
Halperin posts A Nation Responds to New of Kennedy Brain Tumor.
I find it so humanizing that as bad as American politics can be … as much as I cannot agree with Ted Kennedy on SO many things … I genuinely felt terrible after hearing news of his brain tumor. I am very glad to see [...]

Transcript of CBS Debate Regarding APA
May 19th, 2008 · 4 Comments
While in DC, at a Pastor’s conference, I did a local debate regarding the APA silencing people holding the “ex-gay” viewpoint from speaking into a symposium they had scheduled and then canceled at the last minute. Someone forwarded the transcript to me. I phoned in to the local CBS affiliate there in town because it [...]

Gay Marriage In California?
May 15th, 2008 · 17 Comments
Apparently so.
An article by AdvanceUSA, in which I interviewed for, was published today. I will lift two quotes as something I think speaks to today’s decision. The first quote does not address the decision directly but I hope it will speak to how I approach these type of public policy issues. The second quote does [...]
