Well, most of this holiday has been vegging out at home. Last Thursday night was the big fireworks show about two miles away. I went and watched them from the porch of my “ultra liberal Bostonian” neighbors. I use quotes because that is how they describe themselves. Anyway more about that in a minute.
Friday, didn’t [...]

Anti Obama Propaganda
July 1st, 2008 · No Comments
A friend sent me the above artwork. While I love my friend and not sure why they sent it on, I don’t think it is funny. I don’t care for these four powerful symbols being combined in such a manner.
I don’t like Obama’s policies and think he would be a disaster for this country. His [...]

Gay Marriage In California?
May 15th, 2008 · 17 Comments
Apparently so.
An article by AdvanceUSA, in which I interviewed for, was published today. I will lift two quotes as something I think speaks to today’s decision. The first quote does not address the decision directly but I hope it will speak to how I approach these type of public policy issues. The second quote does [...]

The Body
May 13th, 2008 · 3 Comments
La Shawn writes about The Body (of Christ) and asks the following question.
Christians, what, if anything, amazed or surprised you (about yourself and/or others) when you first became a believer?
I thought about changing the title of this post to something else because it is the same as La Shawn’s. But then I thought better of [...]

Same-Sex Struggles

Fifteen years ago I was a very different man from who I am now.

Schaeffer’s Manifesto: A Revolution Realized
by Randy Thomas
The culture war is coming to an inevitable and dangerous turning point and Francis Schaeffer knew it would. The battle between Christianity and secular humanism - absolute Truth versus personal truth - [...]

Jesus and Straightforward Discernment in Dialog
March 27th, 2008 · No Comments
Matthew 22:11-22
… the Pharisees plotted a way to trap him (Jesus) into saying something damaging. They sent their disciples, with a few of Herod’s followers mixed in, to ask, “Teacher, we know you have integrity, teach the way of God accurately, are indifferent to popular opinion, and don’t pander to your students. So tell us [...]
