… I can’t figure out if these two were trapped in an endless cycle of malignant narcissism and emotional dependency or if they were simply eccentric artists. I have to think that something went very out of balance psychologically because in the course of about half a dozen major decisions their lives become isolated an enmeshed. I think my favorite moment was when the two have a reality check of how Big Edie was heavy handed over Little Edie’s life and then Little Edie saying she let her. …
