Well, most of this holiday has been vegging out at home. Last Thursday night was the big fireworks show about two miles away. I went and watched them from the porch of my “ultra liberal Bostonian” neighbors. I use quotes because that is how they describe themselves. Anyway more about that in a minute.
Friday, didn’t [...]

Pondering Gay Marriage in California
June 17th, 2008 · 18 Comments
I have spent the better part of two hours writing a post about Gay marriage in California. Normally I am all over this issue and full of opinions. Now … it is honestly and probably one of the most difficult “marriage” posts I have written. At least that’s what it feels like. In the rough [...]

A Wolf At The Table - An ETC Book Review
June 8th, 2008 · 3 Comments
***UPDATE: At the end of the post, after the jump***
I first wrote about Augusten Burroughs‘ not long ago. I was impressed with his writing ability and honesty.
I mentioned that I wasn’t really ready to read his book A Wolf At The Table because it sounded traumatizing. I knew it would trigger some of my own [...]

Transcript of CBS Debate Regarding APA
May 19th, 2008 · 4 Comments
While in DC, at a Pastor’s conference, I did a local debate regarding the APA silencing people holding the “ex-gay” viewpoint from speaking into a symposium they had scheduled and then canceled at the last minute. Someone forwarded the transcript to me. I phoned in to the local CBS affiliate there in town because it [...]

Girls - The New Porn Addicts
February 22nd, 2008 · 2 Comments
Anne posted a very humble testimony about her struggle with pornography. From Dirty Girls, The New Porn Addicts:
… It’s been close to 10 years since my first encounter with online porn, and I’d like to admit I’ve had a perfect run at purity. I wish I could say I’ve always lingered on the right [...]

Hotel California & Life Soundtrack
February 16th, 2008 · No Comments
Throughout my life I have loved music. I haven’t just loved music … I LOVE music. My bio Dad, before he outright disappeared, owned several bars. One of my few memories of him was standing in the middle of a dance floor (as a kid), during the day when no one [...]
